Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by Northwest Mississippi Community College, Office of Purchasing, 2“d floor McCormick Administration Building, 102 Administration Circle, Senatobia, MS until 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 4, 2021. Bids may be submitted electronically at www.elliottbrittplans.com or may be hand delivered in sealed envelopes. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00P.M., for:
NWCC Campus Entrances Phase 3

The scope of work of this project is the installation of steel and aluminum fencing, chain link fencing and brick masonry columns along Hwy. 51 and along Strayhorn Street in Senatobia, Mississippi. Work will also include site grading within fence limits.

Work shall be substantially complete on or before August 1, 2021. Contractor shall commence work on or before a date to be stipulated in the Notice to Proceed. It is estimated that the Notice to Proceed shall be April 1, 2021.

Bid preparation will be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders bound in the Contract Documents. Project Plans and Contract Documents may be examined at Elliott & Britt Engineering, P.A., 823 North Lamar Blvd./P.O. Box 308, Oxford, Mississippi, 38655.

Bid documents are being made available via original paper copy or electronically. Planholders are required to log-in or register for an account at www.elliottbrittplans.com to view and order Bid documents. All planholders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. Due to COVID-19 precautions, the college is limiting non-essential visitors on campus. Bidders are encouraged to submit their bids electronically at www.elliottbrittplans.com. If electronic bid submission in not feasible, you may hand deliver bids on Thursday, March 4, 2021, between the times of 1:50 p.m. and 2:00p.m. ONLY. A college representative will be available during that time to receive bids on the front steps of the McCormick Administration Building, I 02 Administration Circle, Senatobia, MS 38668. Bids may also be submitted via mail as outlined in the bid documents, however, the college is not responsible for potential delivery delays due to COVID-19 policies set by delivery establishments.

The contract will be awarded to the lowest and/or best bid from a responsive responsible and qualified Bidder. Should no award be made within forty-five (45) calendar days after opening of proposals, all proposals may be rejected and all proposal guaranties returned, unless the lowest responsive responsible qualified bidder, at the request of the Owner, agrees in writing to a longer delay.

Bid bond, signed or countersigned by a Licensed Mississippi Agent, or Mississippi Non-Resident Agent licensed to do business in the State of Mississippi, with Power of Attorney attached, or Cashier’s check or Certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid, payable to Northwest Mississippi Community College, must accompany each proposal.

Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid, and such proposals may not be considered in making the award. Northwest Mississippi Community College reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids if considered not in the best interest of
Northwest Mississippi Community College.
